23-24 Teacher of the Year District Winners Announced

During the school board meeting held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, EPSD recognized its three 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year District Winners. View All Nominees Here

Elementary Division                                        

District Winner: Elementary Teacher of the Year - Jennifer Beth Brown Chataignier Elementary

               23 years of teaching experience:

  •  Church Point Elementary School (2001-2007)
  •  Highland Elementary School (2008-2010)
  •  South Crowley Elementary (2010-2021)
  •  Chataignier Elementary School (October 2021 – Present)

Middle School Divison Teacher of the Year - Jessica Capseta Ville Platte Elementary

  • French Immersion Teacher at Ville Platte Elementary School
  • Began teaching in France in 2017 and in Louisiana in 2020
