Middle School Data Dance

The Middle School Data Dance was held Friday, January 6, 2023, at the Mamou Recreational Complex. 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade students from Evangeline Parish were motivated, inspired, and encouraged to do their best on the i-Ready Middle of the Year Assessment, which will help prepare them for the LEAP 2025 test in the Spring. Teachers modeled team-building exercises; then, students had the opportunity to complete a team-building activity. Teachers and students were guided in a "Cupid Shuffle" line dance, which required all participants to focus, listen, and follow directions. Students were randomly selected to play "Press Your Luck," where students were asked questions about i-Ready and LEAP 2025. The guest speaker was  Uncle Luck, who urged students to stay vigilant in demonstrating respect and learning from their teachers in preparation for i-Ready (MOY), LEAP 2025, and their future. Teachers and students received prizes for participating in the activities.

Thank you, teachers, students, and guests, for attending the event!  Best Wishes!
