Evangeline Parish School Dist. Seeking applications for the position Secondary School Inclusion Teacher, Duties: Should maintain a general education classroom with the enrollment of a student with special needs while establishing and maintaining a community environment where each student is attended to. Responsible for planning, focusing on scaffolding activities, differentiating instruction and classroom activities with the help of the special education teacher. Instruct students in academic subjects General Science, Chemistry using techniques such as phonetics, multi-sensory learning, and repetition to reinforce learning and to meet students varying needs and interests. Gather information on the student's strengths and weakness and develop ways to address their needs by reviewing performances on state tests, semester exams, report cards, and the student's personal history. Modify General Science lesson plans, materials, and tests as needed per the student's education plan and review and develop Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for each student and hold meetings to discuss these plans with parents, administrators, counselors and other individuals involved in the education of a child with special needs. Maintain accurate and complete student records, prepare reports on children and activities as required by laws, School district policies and administrative regulations. Must enforce all administration policies and rules governing students. 

Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Education or Science and sixty months of experience in teaching.

License: Should Possess Valid Louisiana Teaching License. 

Salary: $50550/ Year.
